My experience with the underwater world dates back to when I was more or less 35 years old (SSI, Open Water and Advanced) but I really understood what it meant to go underwater after the accident that made me right hemiplegic and only thanks to one of my dearest friends who never gave up and believed with me that I would go back to “making bubbles”.
Since the accident, April 2003, it has taken nine years to resume the first HSA Open Water licence.

It all started in 2006 during a holiday in Sardinia, where Maxx was the owner of a Dive Center.
I put on my diving gear and went down with him to a meter deep… from that moment Maxx decided with me that he would absolutely bring me back underwater as a diver again.
We “fought” with several hyperbaric doctors before being allowed to go down to -18 m and in 2012 I finally obtained the first licence. To this level, always under the supervision of Maxx, were added the Underwater Environments, Nitrox and Advanced diver certifications.

I feel like defining Maxx as a brother and for this reason he never granted me discounts by transmitting me as an uncompromising master, but always with great passion, the true spirit of scuba diving. What flows through his veins and allows him to be one with the sea.
Maxx taught me to solve independently the problems that arise in immersion despite the disability, giving me the serenity and calm that allow me to face each “descent” as an experience every time new and wonderful.
